A 30-year-old Largo man was arrested after allegedly damaging three televisions at a bar and later refusing to stop for a Pinellas County sheriff’s deputy, according to arrest affidavits.

Kyle Gunnar Winston is accused of throwing bar stools at three Vizio televisions at a Bar, located at 11950 Seminole Boulevard, shortly after 12:10 a.m. Oct. 15. The affidavit says he had been escorted from the bar after displaying inappropriate behavior and touching a guest without permission. Witnesses later identified him as the person who returned and threw the stools. The bar’s owner told deputies the damage totaled $1,197.

A deputy conducting traffic enforcement near Ulmerton Road and Seminole Boulevard saw a man on a bicycle who matched the suspect’s description. The deputy said he activated his emergency lights and siren and used the patrol vehicle’s public-address system to order the man to stop, but he continued riding.

The affidavit says the deputy approached Winston after pulling ahead of him. Winston rode off the curb and into the roadway, and the deputy ran after him. The deputy reported making contact with Winston and the bicycle, causing him to fall. According to the affidavit, Winston did not comply with commands to get on the ground and tried to pick up the bicycle. The deputy then deployed a Taser, which had a positive result, and Winston became non-combative.

After being advised of his rights, Winston acknowledged being at the bar and being escorted out but denied involvement in the damage, according to the criminal mischief affidavit.
