Detectives from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a Largo man for sexual battery on a child.
The Sheriff’s Office has identified the subject as 57 year-old Luis Angel Sanchez-Nieves of Largo.
The investigation began on Saturday, May 30, 2020 in the 140 block of 23rd Avenue SW in Largo.
Detectives were contacted by a family member of the victim, alleging that Sanchez-Nieves had inappropriate sexual activity with the victim.
Detectives say Sanchez-Nieves removed the victim’s shorts and underwear during a massage, and performed a sexual act.
Detectives interviewed Sanchez-Nieves and afterwards he was arrested and charged with one count of Sexual Battery with Familial Authority.
The victim is only being described as a child over the age of 12.
Sanchez-Nieves was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without incident following his arrest at approximately 9:40 a.m.
