Largo Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash in Hillsborough

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) is currently investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a Largo man seriously injured.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:33 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2017 on southbound I-275 at milepost 39 at the base of the Howard Frankland bridge in Hillsborough County.
According to Troopers, 53 year-old Keith Thibodaux of Largo, was traveling southbound on I-275 near the 39 milepost when a tan pickup truck failed to maintain its lane of travel and collided with his 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Due to the impact, Thibodaux lost control of the motorcycle which traveled to the shoulder and collided with the median wall. He was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital with serious injuries. Trooper indicated that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The driver of the tan pickup fled the scene.
Thibodaux was charged for operating the motorcycle without an endorsement.
