Largo Police Investigating After Pedestrian Killed in Hit and Run Crash
Victor A. Bonavita (60) as the driver of the vehicle involved in the fatal crash. Bonavita was charged with Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving a Death, Driving with a Suspended Driver’s License Involving a Death (Habitual Traffic Offender), Tampering with Evidence, and an unrelated warrant.

The Largo Police are investigating a fatal hit and run crash that occurred on East Bay Drive at Wertz Drive at approximately 6 a.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.
A 75 year-old male pedestrian was struck and killed. He was identified as John William English, Jr.
There is no vehicle or driver description at this time.
All of eastbound East Bay Drive is closed at Highland Ave.
The roadway is expected to reopen around 9:30 this morning.
