Largo police investigating serious injury crash on Seminole Boulevard

At approximately 8:30 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2020, officers of the Largo Police Department responded to a traffic crash on Seminole Blvd south of Ulmerton Rd.

The initial crash was a rear end collision with minor injuries in the northbound lanes of travel. As the at-fault driver exited his vehicle, a red Monte Carlo, he walked into the southbound lanes of Seminole Blvd.

He was struck by a southbound passing vehicle causing life threatening injuries.

The driver was transported to a Bayfront Health St. Petersburg for treatment of his injuries.

At this time, the investigation is still ongoing and all lanes of Seminole Boulevard remain closed.
