Largo’s Very Own ‘Ginja Ninja’ Apprehends Bank Robber at Grow Financial Federal Credit Union [VIDEO]

At approximately 12:46 PM on Friday, May 15, 2015, a 31 year-old transient namedĀ Michael Jon Neubecker robbed the Grow Financial Credit Union located atĀ 10801 Starkey Road in unincorporated Largo.

According to detectives, once inside the credit union, NeubeckerĀ passed a note to the clerk, demanding money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and exited the bank.

As the suspect was fleeing, another customer in the credit union,Ā Eric Haritakis,Ā chased him down and escorted him back to the bank. Ā Haritakis is aĀ business owner and founder of Zen Body Foods located in Largo, Florida. Ā In addition, he is certified inĀ mixed martial arts, CrossFit and fitness nutrition.

Haritakis gave chase and eventually used zip ties and duct take to subdue the suspect while awaiting the arrival of Pinellas County Sheriff Deputies.

IONTB had a chance to speak with Eric regarding his stop at the credit union. His quick deposit took about 5 hours and he missed many of his business meetings scheduled for that sameĀ afternoon.

According to booking information, Michael Jon Neubecker was arrested, charged with one count Strong Arm Robbery and booked into the Pinellas County Jail
