Clearwater Police have arrested 36 year-old Chad Mason of Orlando after he was seen having sex with a dog at an apartment complex on McMullen Booth Road.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2022 in the 2600 block of McMullen Booth Road.
Mason took a known individual’s Goldendoodle for a walk and proceeded to have sex with it. Several individuals, including a juvenile, witnessed the sex act and confronted him, causing him to flee the scene.
He wreaked havoc in the surrounding area causing the destruction of a nativity scene at the nearby Northwood Presbyterian Church. He ripped a mailbox off a resident’s property and attempted to steal an unoccupied vehicle.
He was identified by witnesses and quickly taken into custody by officers and booked into the Pinellas County Jail on the following charges
- Criminal Mischief
- Sexual Activity Involving Animals
- Lewd or Lascivious Exhibition
- Exposure of Sexual Organs
- Criminal Mischief to a Place of Worship
