On Saturday, May 28, 2023, Turner was taken into custody and booked into the Pinellas County Jail. He is facing a 1st-degree murder charge.

Based on court documents, Alley and an acquaintance arrived at the location on Ulmerton with a duffel bag full of a large amount of money and pre-arranged to buy marijuana. Detectives believed this was a prearranged robbery at the residence of 32-year-old Scott Laracuente. With his face covered in a red bandana, Turner entered the room and shot Alley with a Glock .40 handgun.

Another occupant at home, 32-year-old Terrell Jackson, reportedly picked up the duffel bag and ran from the home in his Dodge Challenger Hellcat traveling eastbound on Ulmerton Road. That vehicle was later located outside the 4 Play Gentleman Lounge off Gandy Boulevard and impounded.

Jackson and two others, 28-year-old Joshua Ashley and Laracuente, were all taken into custody with the assistance of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on drug charges related to the incident. They traveled to Nevada and were tracked to the Mandalay Bay Resort. The vehicle they traveled in, an Infinity FX35 SUV, was searched by detectives, and evidence was collected.

Through their investigation, detectives learned Alley and a companion traveled to Pinellas County from Jacksonville with $40,000 US currency to purchase a large amount of marijuana. Detectives learned that Laracuente, Jackson, Turner, and Ashley planned to rob Alley of the money he brought with him that night.

Sheriff Bob Gualtieri stated, “When you play with fire, you’re going to get burned, and sometimes you get killed.”

All have been booked into the Pinellas County Jail and facing first-degree murder charges.
