Man injured after suspect fires his gun into a crowd at a St. Petersburg nightclub

The St. Petersburg Police are investigating a shooting at the Rush Hour Chicken & Waffles bar located at 2140 34th Street S.

The incident occurred shortly after 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.

Police say that a fight occurred inside the Chicken & Waffles bar (nightclub). When the crowd was pushed outside, witnesses say a man with a gun was seen shooting into the crowd.

The victim, an adult male, was located and transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg. He is listed in critical but stable condition.

Detectives are working on leads that may identify a suspect in the shooting.
