Man laughes about killing his father’s dog by burying it alive in Clearwater

Clearwater Police arrested and charged 33 year-old Tyler Crevasse with cruelty to animals and domestic battery on Sunday, May 15, 2022.

Officers were called to a home on Barry Road, in the early morning hours, for a domestic battery investigation involving a father and his son. Both Tyler and his son were reportedly drinking and got into a verbal argument. The incident became physical when his father learned about what happened to Fuzzy, his 18 year-old poodle mix .

Tyler reportedly struck his father in the nose twice with a closed fist after being confronted about the dog. Tyler claimed that his father came after him with a baseball bat. After being read his Miranda Warning, he admitted to killing the dog two days earlier. He told officers that he wrapped the dog in a wet towel while still alive. He then buried the dog where the another dog dug a hole a couple feet deep.

Tyler reportedly stated he buried the dog because the dog was old and thought it was already dying. According to arrest documentation, Tyler kept laughing while describing what he did to the dog. Officers were able to locate the deceased dog after Tyler advised where he buried the dog.
