Man shot and killed in St. Petersburg, suspect sought

St. Petersburg police were dispatched to a person shot at 2570 25th Avenue N at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2019.

Officers arrived to and found 24 year-old Jason Carr suffering from gun shot wounds. 

He was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg in critical condition, but later died from his injuries.

The investigation into the shooting is active and ongoing.

Police are requesting he public’s help in identifying the suspect in the recent killing of Carr in the parking lot at 2570 25th Ave. North, the morning of December 9.

Below is surveillance video of the suspect walking near the murder scene. While it is difficult to see his face clearly, we believe someone who knows him will recognize his gait or clothing.
