BRADENTON — Manatee County Sheriff’s Office detectives are searching for a 34-year-old man accused of repeatedly stabbing a teenager Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies responded shortly before 3 p.m. on August 18, 2026, to a residence in the 600 block of 33rd Avenue Drive East. They found a 15-year-old boy suffering from multiple stab wounds to his neck and upper body.
Medical personnel transported the teenager to a regional hospital. His injuries were serious but are not expected to be life-threatening.
Detectives said Quazone Elijawun Taylor, who was visiting the residence, attacked the teenager for an unknown reason while they were sitting outside the home. Taylor then fled.
Additional deputies, including members of the agency’s SWAT and drone teams, searched the residence and surrounding area. Investigators believed Taylor may have been hiding in the attic, but he was not found.
Taylor remained at large as of Wednesday morning. He is described as a Black male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds.
Anyone with information about the stabbing or Taylor’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office at 941-747-3011.
