Mother and Two Young Children Injured Crossing Dale Mabry in Hillsborough County
Tampa Police are investigating an accident that left a mother and her two young children injured after they attempted to cross S Dale Mary Highway on foot.
The crash occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 22, at 5:52 p.m., at S. Dale Mabry and Wyoming Avenue.
Police say a mother attempted to cross S Dale Mabry Highway while holding the hands of her two young children. They were crossing from the east to the west and were not in a crosswalk.
They were struck by a Toyota Camry traveling southbound on Dale Mabry. Police say it does not appear that speed or impairment were factors. The 35 year-old male driver has not been charged.
The mother has been identified as 29 year-old Cassandra Marie Spicola. The two young children identified as 5 year-old Jordan Williams and 18 month old Noah Spicola.
All three were transported with injuries. Investigators say the mother and younger child suffered serious injuries.
