Motorcyclist Dead Following Crash Monday Evening in Hillsborough County
On Momday, November 5, 2018 at 8:00 p.m., a 2010 Chevy Camaro, being operated by 22 year-old Shawn Roach, was sitting at a yellow flashing left turn signal to turn left from Gibsonton Drive onto Park Place Avenue.
A 2014 Harley Davidson, being operated
by 65 year-old Charles Frietsch, was traveling eastbound on Gibsonton Drive with a solid green light.
Investigators say that the Chevy Camaro failed to yield the right of way of the Harley Davidson.
The Harley Davidson’s front struck the right side of the Chevy Camaro, ejecting Frietsch.
The speed of the motorcycle is a factor
in this case according to investigators.
Charles Frietsch was transported to Tampa General Hospital where he died from his injuries.
