Motorcyclist Dies on Ulmerton Road at Coral Way in Largo This Morning

A motorcyclist died on Ulmerton Road at Coral Way in Largo in a crash about 3:45 AM on Monday, November 24, 2014.
35 year-old, Robert Gayle Lowe IV from Clearwater was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed in the outside lane of Ulmerton Road approaching Coral Way. He was traveling on a 2007 Honda VT600CD motorcycle.
A 2007 construction MOT truck being driven by a 40 year-old New Port Richey man traveling westbound in the outside lane ahead of the motorcycle at a slower rate of speed. Next to the construction truck was a 28 year-old man from Pinellas Park in a 2008 Audi A4 traveling westbound in the inside lane of Ulmerton Road.
As Lowe approached the rear of the truck, he attempted to change from the outside lane to the inside lane ahead of the Audi at which point he collided into the rear left corner of the truck with its front end.
Lowe was ejected and collided with the front left side of the Audi before coming to final rest in the inside lane.  He sustained fatal injuries and expired at the scene of the crash.  No helmet was utilized by the decedent..
No other injuries were reported. Â No charges pending.
