Motorcyclist Dies After Overnight Crash on Trouble Creek Road in Pasco County

A 30-year-old New Port Richey motorcyclist has died following a crash involving an SUV early Saturday morning in Pasco County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 2:50 a.m. on July 18, 2026, at the intersection of Trouble Creek Road and Whitetail Lane, near Spike Horn Drive.

Investigators say a 61-year-old New Port Richey woman was stopped in a Kia Sorento at the stop sign on Whitetail Lane. She then attempted to travel north across Trouble Creek Road through the median opening.

At the same time, a Suzuki motorcycle operated by a 30-year-old New Port Richey man was traveling westbound on Trouble Creek Road. The Kia entered the motorcycle’s path, and the motorcycle collided with the SUV.

The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital, where he later died.

The driver of the Kia remained at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
