St. Petersburg Police continue to investigate a fatal crash that killed a motorcyclist. The crash occurred on October 2, 2019, at 5:49 p.m.

According to investigators, a 2006 Haley Davidson driven by its owner, an adult male, was traveling north on Park Street North.

As he passed vehicles stopped in the median lane (for a southbound ambulance), he locked up the rear brake, causing the motorcycle to go down on its left side near 28th Avenue North.

The motorcycle then flipped over, and the driver was ejected. He was not wearing a helmet and was transported to St. Pete General in critical condition and then flown to Bayfront Health St Petersburg where he was later pronounced deceased.
