Motorcyclist killed in Pasco county crash near Anclote Boulevard

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist in Pasco County. The crash occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Oakmont Avenue and Anclote Boulevard.

According to investigators, an 83-year-old male driver from Tarpon Springs was traveling in an SUV northbound on Oakmont Avenue and stopped at Anclote Boulevard.

A 63-year-old male motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Anclote Boulevard approaching Oakmont Avenue.

A third vehicle, a sedan operated by a 34-year-old Holiday man, was traveling southbound, and stopped, at Anclote Boulevard.

The elderly driver of the SUV failed to yield and entered the intersection and path of the motorcycle. As a result, the motorcycle collided with the SUV. After the initial impact, the SUV rotated and collided with the sedan.

The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital and died from his injuries.

The other drivers were not physically injured in the crash.
