Motorcyclist Killed in Pasco County Vehicle Crash Sunday Afternoon
The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) continues to investigate a crash that killed 19 year-old Aaron Barnhouse in New Port Richey.
The crash occurred at approximately 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 9, 2018 on State Road 54 at Little Road.
According to investigators, 74 year-old Milagros Coulmas of New Port Richey was traveling eastbound on SR-54, west of Little Road prior to the crash in a 2003 Toyota Matrix.
Barnhouse was traveling westbound on SR-54 on a 2002 KTM motorcycle.
Investigators say that Coulmas turned left into the path of Barnhouse.
Barnhouse sustained fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.
Coulmas suffered minor injuries and was transported to Morton Plant North Bay Hospital.
FHP reports that Barnhouse was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and alcohol did not appear to have played a role in the crash.
Charges are listed as pending.
