The Pinellas Park Police Department continues to investigate a crash that left a motorcyclist seriously injured. The crash occurred at approximately 6:25 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2020 at the intersection of Park Boulevard and 40th Street N.
Officers arrived to the crash scene involving two vehicles and a motorcycle at the intersection. Investigators say that a silver Lexus turned in front of a 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle causing the two to collide. As a result of the crash, the driver of the motorcycle, 24 year-old Clayton Farley, was ejected and sustained serious life-threatening injuries. Farley was transpoted to the trauma center at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.
A third vehicle was struck during the initial crash.
Investigators believe speed was a factor in this case on the part of the motorcycle. Witnesses stated there was possibly a second motorcycle involved in this incident.
