Neighbor Dispute in Clearwater Left Mother and Daughter Stabbed
Clearwater Police are investigating a stabbing that left a mother and daughter with minor injuries.
Just before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, officers responded to 1405 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. after a report of a stabbing.
Melissa Sessler, age 50, was arrested arrested and facing charges of two counts of aggravated battery. She is being booked in to the Pinellas County Jail tonight.
Her neighbors, 41 year-old Shonika Faison and 23 year-old Shane Johnson suffered stab wounds in the verbal argument that turned physical outside at that address. The two, who are mother and daughter, were taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where they were treated and later released for their injuries.
Police say there has been an ongoing feud between the neighbors over parking and other issues. The dispute erupted again late this afternoon as Sessler was leaving for work.
The argument turned physical after Sessler went inside the house and returned with a small kitchen knife. The mother and daughter were then stabbed during a physical struggle.
