One dead, one injured in St. Petersburg shooting

Officers from the St. Petersburg Police responded to a shooting were two people were injured at 13th Avenue S. and 13th Street S. at approximately 11:36 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, 2021.

Officers found two victims, one with life-threatening injuries. The second victim in stable condition.

The critically injured victim, 28 year-old Demario Q. Thomas, died of his injuries. A 25 year old woman suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The two victims were with a few other people talking outside by the street in the 1300 block of 13th Avenue South when someone fired at the group from behind a house across the street.

No suspect is in custody at this time.
