Pasco: Man Arrested with Pet Monkey in Tow After Stealing Car From St. Petersburg
Pasco deputies arrested Cody Blake Hession, age 23 of Holly Hills, Florida, for auto theft after he drove the stolen vehicle he was driving into a ditch in Holiday.
The crash occurred in the morning on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 2715 US HWY 19 in Holiday, Florida.
The vehicle was taken from the 5800 block of Orange Blossom Lane in St. Petersburg without the victim’s permission. Police say that Hession took the victim’s vehicle keys, which were located on the floorboard of the unlocked vehicle.
What deputies did not expect was the Capuchin monkey he had with him. FWC took possession of the monkey and transported it to the Suncoast Primate Sanctuary as Hession did not have a permit for the animal, which could result in additional charges.
