St. Petersburg Police are currently investigating a crash involving the death of a pedestrian.
The crash occurred around 11:15 p.m. on Friday, June 14th, 2019.
Police say a woman was crossing the street at 38th Avenue North and 34th St. in the crosswalk.
A 2006 Nissan was traveling westbound on 38th Avenue North through a green light, when the woman stepped in front of his car.
The driver of the Nissan tried to stop, but couldn’t do so in time, and struck her.Â
The woman was transported to Bayfront Health St. Pete and pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
Police are working to notify her next of kin as the investigation into this crash continues.Â
As of now, the driver has not been charged.
