Pedestrian Killed While Crossing Park Boulevard at 78th Street

Investigators from the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) are currently investigating a crash that killed a young male pedestrian on Park Boulevard in Unincorporated Pinellas Park.

The crash occurred at approximately 11:37 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2018.

Troopers say that 31 year-old Neilida Del-Toro of Mulberry, Florida, was traveling westbound in a 2010 Chevy Malibu on Park Boulevard at 78th Street in the inside lane.

The 18 year-old pedestrian, Minh Juynh Trung Linh, was crossing the road at the crosswalk on Park Blvd at 78th Street.

Investigators say that Del-Toro failed to observe the pedestrian attempting to cross the roadway.

Paramedics worked to revive the man who suffered fatal injures and died at the scene.

Alcohol does not appear to have played a role in the crash.

All westbound lanes were closed until about 2:40 p.m. during the investigation.
