A pedestrian was stuck and killed in Largo Thursday Evening shortly after 8 PM.  The crash occurred on Ulmerton Road near Audrey Lane (west of the intersection of 66th Street).

According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), 53 year-old James Carey Anderson of Largo, was walking across Ulmerton Road east of Audrey Lane and walked into the path of a 2008 Dodge Avenger.  The 55 year-old driver of the Avenger and Seminole resident was traveling westbound in the center lane of Ulmerton Road when the collision occurred.

First responders attempted to revive Anderson at the scene and transported him to Northside Hospital where he died from his injures sustained in the crash.  Neither the driver of the vehicle nor her 3 passenger were injured in the crash.

Alcohol did not appear to have played a role in the crash which is still under investigation according to FHP.
