The initiative supported the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office’s ongoing efforts to reduce deaths, injuries, and property damage caused by impaired driving. The Wolf Pack operation also aims to educate the public about the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol, chemicals, or controlled substances.

This year’s operation was dedicated to the memory of Marion Miller, who was killed by an impaired driver on April 5, 2023, in Dunedin. On that date, Miller’s vehicle was struck by a driver traveling at a high rate of speed who ran a red light while under the influence of alcohol and marijuana. More information on that incident can be found HERE.
Impaired driving is a crime that can affect any motorist. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office and partner agencies continue this operation to prevent similar tragedies.
