Pinellas Deputies Investigate Crash That Left a Motorcyclist with Serious Injures in Seminole
The crash occurred at approximately 9:45 a.m. in front of 6032 Seminole Blvd in the southbound lanes.
According to investigators, 42-year-old Gregory King of Largo, was driving his 2012 Yamaha R6 Motorcycle southbound on Seminole Boulevard, approaching the entrance to Softails Eatery and Pub located at 6032 Seminole Boulevard in Seminole.
A 1997 Oldsmobile Ciera, driven by 56-year old Debra Morton of Madeira Beach, was making a left turn from the northbound lanes of Seminole Boulevard into the parking lot of Softails Eatery and Pub.
Both drivers tried to avoid the collision, which occurred in the southbound curb lane of Seminole Boulevard.
Investigators say that King was ejected from the motorcycle upon impact with Morton’s vehicle.
King was reported to be wearing a helmet and sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries. He was transported to Bayfront Medical Center.
Morton was not injured in the crash.
Investigators say alcohol and impairment are not factors in this case but say that speed and weather may have contributed to the crash. The investigation continues.
