Driver charged with vehicular homicide as Pinellas deputies investigate a fatal crash in Dunedin

The Major Accident Investigation Team from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash on Belcher Road just south of Curlew Road.

The crash occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2023, in the northbound lanes of Belcher Road.

Three victims were evaluated at the scene, with at least one declared a trauma alert. An Air transport unit was requested but later canceled. The victim was transported by ambulance to the closest hospital due to the extent of their injuries.

Expect the northbound lanes of Belcher Road to be closed for the next several hours due to the ongoing investigation. There are not reported closures on Curlew Road at this time.
