Shortly after 9:30 AM on Saturday, February 25, 2017, Deputies began tracking a white Mercedes which was reported stolen and involved in an auto burglary.
This all began when a homeowner in the 1500 block of Sea Gull Drive in South Pasadena reported seeing a subject behind her car holding her purse. That subject was picked up by the stolen Mercedes that fled northbound on Sea Gull Drive.
The vehicle was later observed in the area of Park Street S and Tyrone Blvd and the Sheriff’s Helicopter began to track the vehicle throughout St. Petersburg until the 4 subjects bailed in the area of 31st Ave N and 18th Street. While they were driving, they violated many red lights at major intersections.
The helicopter pilot observed the four subjects bail from the stolen vehicle and enter a home at 1721 30th Ave N in St. Petersburg.
