Pinellas Deputy Savetz Honored For His Heroic Actions

Deputy Troy Savetz was one of the first to arrive atop the Bay Pines Bridge the morning of April 6, 2014. Multiple phone calls were received reporting a suicidal subject that was standing on the railing of the Bridge. Deputy Savetz utilized both his Military and Sheriff’s Office training to bring the situation to a safe conclusion.
For his actions, he was honored by the Heart Strings For Heroes Foundation
during the 2014 Patriot Ride held at Ker’s Winghouse in Largo, Florida.
