Pinellas Park Police Investigating Fatal Crash Involving a Pedestrian

The Pinellas Park Police Department is investigating a fatal vehicle vs. pedestrian crash that occurred on the evening of Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

At approximately 10:16 PM, officers responded to the 3400 block of Gandy Blvd following reports of a collision involving a small SUV and a pedestrian. Personnel from the Pinellas Park Fire Department pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene.

Preliminary findings indicate that the pedestrian was attempting to cross Gandy Blvd outside of a marked crosswalk when struck by the eastbound SUV.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. No criminal charges have been filed at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
