Plane Skids Off Runway at Albert Whitted Airport
Fire rescue crews were dispatched to Albert Whitted Airport at approximately 12:30 PM on Thursday, March 9, 2017. The airport is located in St. Petersburg, FL at 107 8th Ave SE.
When fire crews arrived on scene they found a single engine aircraft used to pull banners. The aircraft had skidded off the runway collapsing it’s landing gear.
The aircraft’s sole occupant was not injured.
