Pinellas Park Police arrested a subject wanted for Sexual Battery. The incident occurred at the Care Center of Pinellas Park located at 8701 49th Street.
On December 13, 2021, 63 year-old William Cease of Clearwater, engaged in sexual acts with a 69-year-old female patient/resident of the facility. William Cease was found in a state of undress, inappropriately touching the victim, a vulnerable adult.
This incident was discovered when another employee walked in and observed William Cease in the act of sexual assault Staff intervened and Cease was separated from the victim. Law enforcement was called to the scene but Cease fled the scene.
Detectives took Cease into custody after obtaining a warrant for his arrest. He was arrested in the morning of Thursday, December 16, 2021 while leaving his residence.
William Cease has been employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Care Center of Pinellas Park since April of 2019.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims.
