Pool Service Worker Found Unresponsive in a Pool at a Residence in Clearwater

Pool service worker found unresponsive in pool

Clearwater Fire & Rescue and Clearwater Police responded to a call of a near drowning. The call for service was at approximately 5:26 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2019.

A pool service worker, 30 year-old Darian Welch-Weaver, was found unresponsive in the pool in the 1300 block of Yulee Drive by lawn maintenance workers.

He was taken to Morton Plant Hospital with potentially life threatening injuries.

As of Saturday afternoon, police say he remains in critical condition at Morton Plant Hospital.

It has been almost 13 years since the inception of IONTB.
