Roofer dead after fall from home in Island Estates in Clearwater

Crews from Clearwater Police and Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a home located at 60 Midway Island shortly before noon on Friday, December 30, 2022.

The victim, 61 year-old Richard Wells of Holiday, was doing roof work on the home when he fell onto the pool deck below while checking on the project.

He was taken to Morton Plant Hospital where he died from his injuries.
