Officers from the St. Petersburg Police Department (SPPD) were dispatched to reports of a stolen vehicle at approximately 1:20 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023.
Responding officers visualized the vehicle fleeing eastbound on 38th Avenue North and turning north onto 49th Street N.
The fleeing vehicle crashed into Saint Joes Creek just north of the Dunkin’ Donuts at 3934 49th Street N.
One occupant from the vehicle fled on foot and additional officers including a K-9 along with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department helicopter were requested.
As of 4:15 p.m., the search continues.
