St. Petersburg Man Critically Injured Crossing Ulmerton Road Wednesday Afternoon
Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol continue to investigate a crash that occurred on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at approximately 2:50 PM.
The crash occurred west of 66th Street in the eastbound lanes of Ulmerton Road.
Investigators say that a 45 year-old New Port Richey man was traveling eastbound in a 2017 Isuzu Truck on Ulmerton Road west of 66th Street North.
50 year-old Darrien Pierce of St. Petersburg was walking southbound across Ulmerton Road and into the path of the truck.
Pierce was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg as a trauma alert with critical injuries.
None of the three occupants in the truck were injured.
The crash closed the eastbound lanes of Ulmerton Road until 6:30 PM.
No charges are expected according to investigators.
