St. Petersburg Police Investigating Fatality Crash on Shore Acres Involving a Motorcyclist
St. Petersburg Fire Rescue was dispatched to a vehicle crash at approximately 5:40 PM on Thursday, March 16, 2017.
The crash occurred near the intersection of 62nd Ave NE and 16th St in St. Petersburg.
According to St. Petersburg Police, the 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle, being driven by 24 year-old Andrew Bang was eastbound on 62nd Avenue Northeast.
While negotiating a curve in the 1400 block of 62nd Avenue Northeast, the motorcycle struck the south curb.
Bang lost control and was thrown from the motorcycle. Â He was not wearing a helmet or any other safety equipment according to investigators.
Bang was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash by paramedics.
