St. Petersburg Police shoot suspect in earlier shooting in the city
St. Petersburg Police are currently on-scene of the shooting on 30th Avenue and the area of 35th Street. This occurred about 8:50PM. An individual was reportedly shot multiple times at that address and witnesses were able to give a description of the vehicle and a possible suspect in the shooting.
St. Petersburg Police also were able to track this vehicle to an address in the Child’s Park area. The officers surrounded the home and upon confronting the suspect, shots were fired at about 9:20PM. The suspect was injured in the confrontation with officers. No officers were injured in the altercation. St. Pete Fire Rescue is en route to this second location.
