On October 6, 2022, officers were called to Dell Holmes Park, 2741 22 Street S., to a decomposed body in the park. It was found in heavy brush in an area not normally used by the general public.
The body found was identified as 19 year-old Tyrone Wilson McKenzie, Jr.
Family members reported him missing on October 5th. He was last seen on September 27th.
A gun was found with his body.
Through the investigation, detectives have determined it was a suicide.
