The suspect is identified as 29 year-old James Pagan and is in custody in
Alachua County. Alachua County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Pagan overnight on unrelated drug charges.

St. Petersburg detectives are in the process of filing the necessary paperwork to file charges against Pagan in the shooting deaths of Barbarajean Lombardi and Tommy Dixon.

After the shooting, investigators say Pagan fled the scene. It is early in the investigation, but Detectives believe the homicides were domestic related.

The investigation is active, and SPPD homicide investigators are working with the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office.
