Suspect Sought in Armed Robbery at the Republic Bank in St. Petersburg

Suspect being sought in St. Petersburg bank robbery

St. Petersburg Police are actively investigating an Armed Robbery that occurred at the Republic Bank, at 6300 4th Street North, this morning at 9:40.

Police say that the suspect entered the bank wearing a mask and holding a gun. He hit two people with the gun before leaving the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash. Both victims received minor injuries. No one in the bank was shot.

The suspect is described as a thin, black man between 5’5″- 5’9″.
