Suspects sought after two men shot at Pinellas Park home

Pinellas Park Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred at a residence in the 5900 block of 66th Terrace N.

The shooting occurred at approximately 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2020. 

Upon arrival, officers located one victim on scene who had been shot three times.  The suspects in this case had already fled the area in an unknown vehicle.

Detectives responded to the scene and conducted follow up investigation to determine how this incident took place.  It was determined the suspects arrived at the residence in a vehicle and there was a confrontation with homeowner, Riley Bass, in the front yard. 

Two of the suspects entered the residence where the two shooting victims, Brandon Heric and Devon Thompson were located. 

While inside the residence a confrontation took place and Devon Thompson and Brandon Heric were struck by gunfire.

In the front yard of the residence, Riley Bass remained in a physical confrontation with four other suspects until he was able to flee into the residence. 

Once inside, Bass confronted the shooters who ultimately fled the scene along with the four other suspects in a vehicle.

Devon Thompson was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for three gunshot wounds and is in stable condition at this time. 

Brandon Heric fled the scene in a vehicle, driving himself to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

This shooting is an isolated incident and it is apparent the residence was targeted by the suspects involved. 

Investigators are continuing to determine the identity of suspects involved in this incident.

The investigation is still ongoing and no further information is expected to be released at this point.
