The Clearwater Police Department’s SWAT team responded to the Townhomes at Northwood, 2745 Enterprise Road Unit 24, to arrest 52-year-old Brook E. Williams, a suspect wanted for various charges, including Domestic Battery, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, False Imprisonment, and Tampering with a Witness.
Williams refused to cooperate with negotiators and began destroying the interior of the residence while barricading doors and windows. Negotiators successfully facilitated Williams’ peaceful surrender after he barricaded himself inside and refused to cooperate. This included the SWAT team breaking out many windows and introducing gas and a drone into the home.
The tactical efforts of the Clearwater SWAT team, with support from the St. Petersburg Police Department’s robot dog, led to Williams surrendering without harm to anyone involved.
