Tampa Police Detectives working to identify parrot thief

Tampa Police Detectives are working to identify the female in the attached video.

On March 18, two Blue-fronted Amazon parrots, Tito (15 years old) and Mama (20 years old), were stolen from the porch of a house near Epps Park in Seminole Heights.

On March 21, the female in this video sold Tito to a pet store. The owner of the store recognized that Tito had been stolen and was able to contact the true owner.

While Tito has been reunited with his family, Mama, who has a steel band on her left foot, is still missing.

Investigators continue working to determine this woman’s identity and Mama’s location.

Detectives are asking anyone in the community who may know the female in this video to contact #YourTampaPD at 813-231-6130, or Crimestoppers of Tampa Bay at 800.873.TIPS and help bring Mama home.
