Tampa Police Investigating Fatality Crash Involving a Motorcyclist on Gandy Bridge

Officers from the Tampa Police Department are on scene of a single vehicle traffic fatality involving a motorcyclist in the area of eastbound Gandy Blvd. near the hump.

The crash occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2019.

Officers are asking motorists to please avoid this area until further advised.

The eastbound lanes are completely shutdown due to the ongoing investigation.

Local traffic is being re-routed through the neighboring community.

It has been almost 13 years since the inception of IONTB.
