At approximately 4 a.m., on September 17, 2023, a shooting incident unfolded at the Isles of Gateway Apartments, located at 10600 4th St. N in St. Petersburg.
The victim, a 15-year-old boy, sustained a severe gunshot injury to the torso. He was transported to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital via ambulance and remains in critical condition.
The investigative team working on this case gathered substantial evidence leading to the apprehension of 16-year-old Nijjah Douglass. It is noteworthy that the involved individuals were acquainted with each other.
Douglass is facing charges of first-degree attempted murder following the early morning shooting incident.
