Three-Alarm Fire Under Investigation at Imperial Cove Condominiums in Clearwater
Clearwater Fire & Rescue Department crews were called to a fire at Imperial Cove Condominiums just prior to 3:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2018
Imperial Cove is located at 19029 U.S. 19 N. in Clearwater.
Firefighters located the fire in the attic area of Building 8.
Multiple residents were evacuated as firefighters worked the blaze in the four-story structure.
There were no injuries and according to Rob Shaw from the City of Clearwater, the cause of the three-alarm fire remains under investigation.
Multiple units from neighboring agencies also responded to the call.
Four firefighters received minor injuries and were treated on scene. They were not transported to a hospital.
A total of 18 residents from seven units have been displaced. The Red Cross is enroute to the scene to assist those residents.
