Three hospitalized following house fire in St. Petersburg

Crews from St. Petersburg Fire Rescue responded to a reported house fire in the 2500 block of 13th Avenue South at approximately 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2022.

Firefighters arrived to the two-story house with fire in the garage and victims located in the second floor above the fire. Two victims were rescued by crews using ladders while the third victim escaped the home on their own. All three victims were transported to the hospital by ambulance. 1 adult stable condition to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, 1 child stable condition to All Children’s Hospital, and 1 child critical but stable condition to Tampa General Hospital.

An investigator is currently responding to the scene. The cause is currently unknown.
